Midwest Poultry Federation’s Virtual Convention and Tradeshow 2020

The Midwest Poultry Federation (MPF) is taking its annual convention and tradeshow online this year following the Coronavirus outbreak. This industry-first digital event is packed full of leading exhibitors and experts across the poultry industry, as well as interactive booths to visit your favourite brands. There’s also a Happy Hour in the Networking Lounge where attendees can chat with the exhibitors in real-time.
Here at Potters Poultry, we’ll be exhibiting for the 10th consecutive year and supporting as a gold-level sponsor. While we’re experienced at exhibiting in person, this is the first time we will have attended a trade show in an online format.
Not only does the event provide us with an excellent opportunity to discuss some of the key issues affecting poultry farmers, but it will also give us a chance to meet customers in a whole new setting – and that, for us, is very exciting.
At the event, the Potters Poultry USA team will be focusing on equipment, including our Open Aviary. Dan Wood, Dale Goodwin, Mark Bruland and Dawn Harberts will be on hand to answer any poultry or equipment related questions delegates may have.
But, for us at Potters, one of the most important reasons for taking part in the Midwest Poultry Federation’s Convention and Tradeshow – albeit virtually – is to showcase our continued support to the industry during what has been a very unsettled and unusual couple of months.
Like many other industries, the farming sector has had to deal with a number of challenges over the first half of this year – but this convention gives us an opportunity to look back on those learnings and think about how the industry can move forward over the coming months and years.
One of our biggest challenges has been ensuring the visual booth truly represents the business but we’re hoping to introduce ourselves to prospective clients, give them an overview of our business in a new setting which could pave the way for how trade shows, in our industry, are run for the foreseeable future.
Dan Wood, who heads up our operation in the USA, said: “The show gives us an exciting chance to see how the virtual tradeshow format works as a form of communication with our target market.
It will be interesting to see what the attendance levels from farmers are like, and in the same respect, we’re excited to hopefully see some new faces as a result of the event being accessible to everyone online.”
The MPF’s Virtual Convention and Tradeshow will be taking place between 12th – 13th August.
