The Potters Poultry cage free systems are different.
Why? They are designed by farmers with over 25 years of experience in aviaries to be used by farmers. They are designed with easy bird management as a priority. Amongst our range, we have the most open systems available making it better to see and manage the hens.
Our Open Aviary system with a central row of independent Potters nests and a row of aviary either side of the nest is very popular with British producers (and increasingly in the US) . The birds enjoy the independent nesting row.
The recently introduced Lowmax Aviary offers integrated nests which is an equally viable European approach and which will suit certain building configurations better.
Both systems have to be seen in action to appreciate some of the very unique features that make them great for the welfare of the bird and for the people managing the birds.
Often it can be very daunting and complicated to undertake a large construction project, particularly if you are new to the industry and are not familiar with the type of housing and equipment used.
