Potters Poultry Update

Following a restructure of the Potters Poultry family of businesses we are now in a position to provide an update and outline our future business plan.

Despite the short-term economic impact of COVID19, our long-range plan for Potters Poultry is to continue to invest in future markets, including within our International Division.  However, to safeguard jobs and to address immediate business challenges due to a significant reduction in customer activity we have had to take the difficult decision to place one of our businesses into administration.

Activity previously undertaken through W.Potter & Sons (Poultry) Ltd will now resume through Potters Poultry Ltd which will ensure we can continue to secure continued employment for our people, support our poultry industry customers and suppliers.

We understand this change to our business may have caused some concern for all those who work with us, so we felt it was important to reassure you that this restructure has been undertaken to safeguard the long-term future for our people, customers and suppliers.  We hope that any short-term implications associated with our restructure will be mitigated through growth in the future, including from international markets, which we would hope would benefit the wider UK poultry industry.

We’d like to thank our people, customers and suppliers who have supported us through this change and shown understanding for the difficult choices we have had to take.  We are very proud of the relationships, reputation and expertise built through our 50-year history working within the poultry industry and we are committed to maintaining this as we look to our future.
