Daily Record Sheet Potters’ Pullets experience a lot of human contact during the rearing period ensuring calm behaviour on arrival to the laying accommodation, which is crucial for stress free egg production.
As well as being weighed daily (by platform weighers), all our birds are pen weighed every week by our rearing managers to monitor their growth profile. This guarantees breed target bodyweights and good flock evenness are achieved, allowing an easy transition into lay for the birds.
Due to our comprehensive vaccination programme; Potters’ pullets are very resilient and cope with challenges very well, making certain egg numbers and quality are maximised.
A representative of Potters attends the majority of our pullet deliveries and then regular visits are made by our service team through to peak production to check weigh and review their progress. The comprehensive back up service we offer is second to none in the industry and provides a great support system for producers old to new. This support is further enhanced by the provision of a flock performance recording graph as well as a daily recording pad which helps to simplify the paperwork trail!!!
